That could happen. I wouldnt be surprised if Obama wins the popular vote and Romney wins the electoral college
I can see it the other way. Obama winning the Electoral College (due to spoliers in VA and NM) but Romney winning the popular vote getting close but losing (less than McCain did) in the northeast and the west coast.
