Tampa was a disaster (absolutely no bounce) because Romney and company gave no specifics at all. As Clinton proved, the American public likes details; they respond better to a laundry list that adds up to a couple billion dollars of savings then broad philosophies that add up to a couple trillion.
I’m thrilled Romney’s talking about deregulation, but nothing (that I caught) was even as specific as “drill here, drill now.”
