Hopefully they will be able to go to yet another country where only a tiny number know they are there, so the thrashing of governments will achieve nothing. No matter the coercion, information cannot be squeezed out of someone who does not know it.
Once she has gone to parts unknown, then the Mennonites can seriously muddy the water by passing around a map, each of them picking some country at random, and if asked or coerced, give the name of that country as where they have fled.
One will say Russia, another New Zealand, another Uruguay, another Libya, etc. This will so foul the search that it will become useless to continue.
Every preacher in this country should be talking about this every Sunday morning. It’s sad that they are not.
It’s also sad that there are judges like this who have the power to order someone who has done nothing wrong to give up her child. While DHS constantly sends abused kids back home because they believe the “family should stay together”.
That sounds all well and good, but remember, this woman’s passport is most likely flagged by the NCIC, and from that, likely through INTERPOL as well.
The minute she crosses a border, that flag pops up and she’s detained by the local authorities, and then deported, back to the US.
Not saying it’s impossible for her, but difficult.
