There were indigeous Christian communities in Egypt some 600 years before Islam got there, and something like 1/10 of the population of Egypt is still Coptic Christian. They are coming to be in the same position as the Chaldean Christians who were driven from Iraq to Syrian and now from Syria to --- God knows where. Copts are a creative people, a resilient people, a gifted people: but they have noplace left to run.

And like all the Christians trapped in the deadly Islamosphere, they are ignored by the West.

The Muslims have not only murdered or driven out or forcibly converted all those Christians, but they have slaughtered millions of Hindus, killed Buddhists, enslaved African animists, extermianted Bahais and Zoroastrians ( in Iran) as well as perscuted numerous other Christian groups.

They are evil and indefensible.

Yeah, I have never understood why the US State Dept (of both GOP and Dem admins, btw) care so little about Christians in the Middle East and in Africa.
