The Crack Hotels of the DNC......"I can’t speak for the delegates or ther foreign dignitaries, but many of the journalists I have spoken with here are appalled at the accommodations in Charlotte to which they were assigned by the DNC. National Review was assigned to two Knights Inn properties. Everyone who saw them fled immediately across state lines to an available Marriott in South Carolina rather than stay there. As one of our political correspondents reported:

>>> The Knights Inn was the worst hotel I have ever seen, and I’ve stayed in many bad motels in my life. Two guys were dealing drugs in the room next to me, and a prostitute was working out of the parking lot. And this was in the early afternoon. The room itself was dirty, full of other people’s stuff, etc.

I have never requested a hotel change in 3 years at NR. This was the first time I felt absolutely compelled.<<<

It’s not as if the DNC couldn’t have figured out something was wrong with the properties. TripAdvisor had these recent comments on one of the Knights Inn properties: “wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy,” “scared to death,” and “pimps and prostitutes at night.”....

Its a good bet that the bedbugs and the Democrat delegates arrived in North Carolina at the same time.

I would be less concerned about the bedbugs and more concerned about the demoncrats being in the bed....

We’ve been trying to fumigate the country and rid us of them but they keep coming back.....

Dangerous little pests.....

That is the demoncrats.....

The biggest problem invovles the bedbugs who check in and pay the bills.

I’m sure the DNC did it on purpose to the National Review and other conservative media. These people are punks, they show no respect for ‘convention’. Someone’s idea of a bad joke...perhaps. But the people in that pack are malicious. I wouldn’t put it past them to pull a stunt like that.

Either that or the DNC is really REALLY short on funds..

63 days.

Well, you know what the DNC’ers say...

One bed bug equals one vote.

I’d be willing to bet the bedbug problem gets worse following the convention.

Note: Spraying the matresses with DDT is guaranteed to eliminate bed bugs. Ain’t progress wonderful. 40 years ago there would have been no problem.

After the DNC there will probably be bed bug and flea problems in Charlotte hotels.

Ugh. I was checking in at a hotel in TX and the guest services rep was on her walkie talkie with maintenance complaining about ‘unauthorized guests’ in a room. I wondered out loud what constituted ‘unauthorized’ and she sheepishly admitted that those were code words for bedbugs.

We checked into another hotel without any fuss from that hotel.

So they have a problem with a bunch of blood sucking parasites coming to town ... and they have a bedbug problem.

Many of the cheaper hotels evacuated their long term residents and forced them to go in to temporary shelters
until the DNC was over. One women resisted being temporarily
evicted and she took a dump on the floor when the cops showed up.

How can you identify the delegates?

(Answer: They’re larger.)

I think bedbugs are a great opportunity for an entrepreneur.

A big problem with bedbugs is that they and their eggs often escape fumigation by hiding in tight crevasses and in air pockets in furniture.

However, they are very sensitive to heat. Just 115F for an hour will kill them and their eggs. So if a room is sealed, using a ground level air convection heater to raise the temperature in the room, down to the floor, to say 120-125F would wipe them out.

If it’s unpractical to heat the room, then put all the furniture in a heated semi truck. Very few of such dry goods are so sensitive to heat that they would be damaged by such temperatures for just an hour.

The use conventional fumigation in the empty room.
