Leni,
Very astute post - as are most of yours!
Best,
SC
Romney was just handed an amazing gift. Obama is fleeing the Chicago home he purchased through convicted felon Rezko to purchase a $35,000,000 estate in Hawaii. The hypocritical, so-called champion of the middle class living like a one percenter should go over should go over big.
How can an ex-community organizer and 1-term POTUS afford a home that even the Clintons cannot afford, and Bill’s net worth is reportedly over $100 million today.
Is Obama sitting on a huge inheritance? Or is the same Saudi that paid for Obama’s Harvard education (and $20 million grant to Harvard) will be dishing out cash for this purchase?
If you consider Carter a ‘much, much better president’ you must really have a low opinion of Obama. Carter was a failure of worst sorts with very high interest rates and ignorance of how the world really turns.
That’s great! I love The Yard too...hub is ‘77 as well as Dad so have grown up visiting the Academy and then some. I also know some past commandants as well as Supes and CAPT instructors. One friend is now ADM Matt Klunder. Another, a classmate of hub was a Batt Com and got screwed by a fellow classmate who was commandant at the time...this guy is now a four star...guess if you can who it might be!
I’ll bet you see a lot of examples there of how it truly is a small Navy!
We’re retired, living in the woods and glad we’re out!
Whoever it is I thank them.
Though the thought of that slime living in a beachfront mansion makes me sick, better there than back here in Chi.
Can they leave today
I have always had the nagging feeling that no matter how awful Obama was as president, he will be even worse as a former president. Carter will look dignified in comparison.
Thank you. I tell you that is why I love Free Republic. To have so many expert FRiends teaching me something new every day is invaluable.
Considering the number of people who have benefitted from the munificence of the great 0bummer, the Solyndras (all ten or so of them) the healthcare providers and the car dealerships who had their competition driven under, $35 million ain’t spit.
Think of it this way: Those who benefited know damn well...they didn’t (earn) build that.

...”My guess, the Chicago Mob”....
With all due respect, the “Chicago Mob” doesn’t really exist anymore. It now is the democrat party.......and the republican party....the Combine.
The what? What the heck could be in it that we are going to be allowed to see?
C’mon that’s easy.
Remember the MF Global customers $1.6 billion that went missing?
Remember John Corzine was given a pass?
Plus oboingo will have piles of cash from his campaign to use how he sees fit. Illegal? Like that matters to the first clown of islam.
We had gas lines under Nixon, too. Price controls will do that.
I dont remember that. Although I was born in 1969 so that probably explains that. lol.
They will make the OPEC of Nixon’s days look like pussy cats. Muslim radicals will get such a kick out of cutting off America’s (the Great Satan) oil supply and having the means to economically destroy us.
“I have always had the nagging feeling that no matter how awful Obama was as president, he will be even worse as a former president. Carter will look dignified in comparison.”
I could not agree more.
Thanks for the Ping ...SC.. Yes, he does a great job.
The ‘cherry on top’ of the affirmative action fraud run amok. He didn’t build anything in his life, was given every advantage, and still he hates America. May a tsunami claim him within days of his moving into the beach front estate.
Makes sense. Hawaii is a criminal enterprise as far as I can tell, at least the State AG, DOH, governor’s office, courts etc. seem to be. It appears that they have been handing out birth cert’s and citizenship to all comers for a long time.
DOH and courts won’t obey a court ordered subpoena from the mainland. If the zero family are there, they probably can’t get arrested or subpoenaed. I think they’re going there to hide out and avoid prosecution (not that Congress would do it).
