I have a brain freeze about the lady on the 5 who had her picture taken with the gov. Kristen Gillabrand????? She is of Puerto Rican descent.
Ah yes. It is a concerted effort to make it look like Republicans do not respect those of Latin/Hispanic origins. A friend of mine posted a link on his Facebook this morning about how a woman from Puerto Rico was given the microphone to speak when loud cheers of USA USA broke out as if the people chanting were deliberately trying to drown out this woman.

This is the plan:
MSNBC FORMULA: Do not show black speakers at the convention.
(cut to commentary)
Maddow: "Hey, have you noticed, I haven't seen one black speaker, or ANY minority, speaking at the convention!"
Matthews: "That's because Republicans are racist!" (spittle spittle fume)
Maddow: "Well, maybe yes, maybe no. But I haven't seen ONE minority speaker at the convention."
Beckel: "F__ing Republicans f__ing hate f__ing minorities. Oh, and by the way, I'd like to add this very important point: F___."
Maddow: "Well, I don't know how they are going to appeal to minority voters when we don't see one minority speaking at the convention. (listens to earpiece).... hold on... we need to cut to the next speaker. Guess what. They are white."
Beckel: "F___!!!!"
Wow, I was watching on FNC and this is the first I heard that Brewer was even there!!! Had it on early top hear Rand Paul, who was great btw, and may have missed a minute or two, but I never saw Brewer or heard her name.
Why would anyone watch msnbc? I saw the excellent speech of the PR gov on Cspan.
That means roughly 3 people missed the speech? You, Jan Brewer and the interviewer?
The way to watch conventions is to simply watch C-SPAN until they take callers. Then switch to Fox or read a book.
But MSNBC couldn’t and didn’t hide Condoleeza Rice or Susana Martinez - and I’ll bet they’re still trying to figure out how to spin the followup to Martinez’s “I’ll be damned, we’re Republicans” story.....
In related news: Water is wet!
I only briefly clicked past MSNBC. They had Sharpton running his mouth in place of broadcasting the actual speaker of the moment, so I didn’t bother to stick around.
I watched it on C-Span. Even Fox was pretty lame with their coverage. I don’t want to know what the talking heads think, I want to hear what the speaker has to say.
