If Veronica became a citizen in September 2011, what was she doing donating to Colorado Democrats for the year preceding that? [...] A quick check of donation records in Colorado turns up at least four donations made before she was a legal citizen. Her voter registration is under the name Veronica Fleischer.
When liberals put up someone to complain about Gessler's attempts to clean up the voter rolls, maybe they shouldn't push a person who has already violated election laws?

AS Hugh Hewitt likes to say (paraphrasing) "cheating won't matter if it ain't close". So I'm just reemphasizing the need for all conservatives this election cycle to get active! Donate, man the phones, walk the precinct, fly a sign.

This might be much more serious than just an illegal donation. The last big election was in 2010, and she didn’t become a citizen until 2011. Why is her presence on the voter roles questioned? Did she vote in the previous election? How would the state know she was NOT a citizen if she was on the voter rolls? If she registered in 2011, she must have had evidence of citizenship. If she was on the voter rolls before then, she’s committed a felony. This just doesn’t add up.
"Foreign nationals are prohibited from making any contributions or expenditures in connection with any election in the U.S. Please note, however, that "green card" holders (i.e., individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the U.S.) are not considered foreign nationals and, as a result, may contribute."
Presumably, she held a green card for some period before becoming a citizen.
