Won’t happen as long as people here keep exploiting cheap imported mexican labor. Mexico has become a surrogate of the plantations of old. If you can’t work the slaves here, take the work to the slaves. Don’t try to justify it, don’t try to explain it away. If you employ illegal mexicans, you are playing your part in destroying their country. As long as you keep exploiting illegals, the people of the border states have no say in the battle against illegal immigration. Only one of two things will put an end to this, either militarize the southern border, and make it a no man’s land, or annex mexico and start cleaning house. Unfortunately, I don’t see much of either happening due to systemic corruption occuring on both sides of the border.

Hardly “slavery”. The true exploitee here is the taxpayer. Most of the illegals that I’ve had dealings with we’re paid cash under the table with wives, girl friends and kids on welfare. They were much better off than me.
