UPDATE Aug. 27th:
Just a quick update on the situation we shared with you last night from the Republican National Convention. We need your help to stop a proposed rule change that would allow a presumptive nominee to "disavow" delegates.
Thank you to all of you who have already called your delegates serving on the Rules Committee. Below is a list of states whose Rules Committee delegates have both signed onto the Minority Report. If your state is listed below, there is no need for further calls. If your state is not listed below, please contact your representatives serving on the Rules Committee.

The GOP; It was a great party while it lasted.
Did Palin see this coming?...When asked if she would consider creating a third party if neither Gov. Romney nor President Obama would budge from their current positions on a variety of issues, Palin left open the door.
"Look what happened in the mid 1800's. The Whig party went away and the Republican Party surfaced. Because the electorate got sick and tired of the party fighting for power and not doing the will of the people."
Palin went on to say history could repeat itself.
"If history is an indication it is a possibility," she said. "If the Republicans don't remember what the planks in the platform represent ... that is opportunity to prosper and thrive in the most exceptional nation in the world. We do that through a free market. If the Republicans become like the liberal left and democrats, I wouldn't be surprised if history didn't repeat itself."
“Sarah Palin says a third party option not out of the realm of possibility”
This is BS taken out of context.
This is what she also said in the same interview:
“Please go vote! Let me ask you man, do me a favor. If this go-around you dont know who you dislike more or like more, Romney or Obama this go-around, give Romney a shot. We dont want to repeat the failed policies of President Obama. Thats insanity, just to repeat the same failures over and over again and expect a different result. Obama has proven himself that he doesnt get it, he doesnt get the free market, he doesnt get American exceptionalism, and he wont work toward that American exceptionalism. He had his chance no hard feelings, thank you for your service, Mr. Obama. This go-around, though, lets give Romney that chance.”
BTW, there’s a ‘mystery’ speaker scheduled to speak at the convention on Thursday.
Did Palin see this coming?
Perhaps she did. I do think she’s setting up the possibility that the Tea Party will become a genuine, bona-fide third political party in the not too distant future.
I can remember the Reform Party, back when old H. Ross Perot was reaching for the brass ring. It looked, at that time, to have a chance at becoming a genuine third party, though history and hindsight have since proven otherwise.
It’s hard to say whether a Tea Party as a genuine third party would succeed, as the Republican Party did, in replacing or eclipsing an existing party, or whether it would serve as a drag mechanism. Too early to tell, to be honest.
I tried my two CA reps.
Both went to voicemail, and both mailboxes were full.
Try email.
Thanks, I sure sent my AL delegates an e-mail as well. This is not the time to start talking about a third party. I hope most conservatives remember what happened when we voted for Ross Perot.
Perot was a real lesson for a lot of us...
Yes, a real lesson about a real threat that still exists:
