Another relatively useless investigation by the New York Attorney General's Office. Doesn't it have more compelling matters to investigate in NY like dirty politicians or wise guys?

Hey, it's a growing industry that the government hasn't brought under its' control yet, ripe pickings. If they can put the squeeze on the manufacturers, they can extort political contributions from them.

The only way for the companies to keep the heat off is to pony up. That's how it works, that's how it's worked from the days of the Capone mob.
