And had people listened to you, Kuwait would be called Iraq.
“And had people listened to you, Kuwait would be called Iraq.”
Which actually demonstrates the point. We should have killed Saddam and his henchmen all properly the first time, instead of having to come back and do it again. And then we still don’t do it right, because we expect them to have a Democracy and be all enlightened and perfect despite the fact they’ve lived in a backward society ruled by a tyrant. The much maligned Machiavelli, who is correct, noted that it is very unlikely for a people who have lived under such conditions to continue long under freedom. It becomes even worse when you realize political Islam, which is coopted by the Marxists, is obsessed with absolute control and setting up a world wide caliphate. But here we our promoting these “freedom” movements like in Egypt (Even one of Romney’s advisers was bashing Glenn Beck for predicting it would turn out bad) or Syria or Iran and expecting something different.
I say if you need to kill them, kill them, and do it properly, and don’t sit around spending billions to trillions to rebuild them when they won’t even appreciate it. Even Mir Hussain Mousavi, the “green” leader in Iran, was the same fellow who invented Hizbollah, the Iranian anti-dissident police, and had KGB handlers for his teachers.
And so? Is Kuwait a territory of our United States or did I miss something?
So what? Why is It our problem if the Kuwaitis were drilling sideways to take iraqi oil...
