There most definitely is that. I wonder how much of this Germanic xenophobia is a reaction to, or at least exacerbated by, the Islamic invasion.
The Gaestarbeiter are mostly Turks, but there are also crowds of Slavs, too. Last time that happened, the Teutonic Knights fired up the Drang nach Osten and took East Prussia away from the Poles.
It'd be nice to avoid a replay of medieval and early-modern history.
