Already in the early ‘60s, the Kennedys were coming on board with the pro-choice types. Their teacher was Father Drinan. That there were lots of Father Drinans is the reason who so many Catholics abandoned the traditional teachings of the Church and took up liberalism.

My mother-in-law is the archetype for the stupid Catholics who support Obama and the Democrats. She's supposed to be a "good" Catholic, and very ProLife, but, unbelievably, thinks Obama is our greatest President ever, and will not countenance any criticism of him or any evidence of how mprodeath he is.
