My cousin worked with him when he was at the helm of his company. Her hospital was making a large purchase of equipment and Ross gave her his personal contact information and told her if she had any questions or issues to please call him directly. Gotta say, the guy certainly knows how to make an impression doing business the old way.

Indeed. After leaving the Air Force in mid-1979 I started at his company. It was self-insured then, my wife was 7 months pregnant at the time, and I hadn't been there long enough for full coverage. When my daughter was born the division manager pulled me aside and told me to track every medical expense incurred for the delivery; the company would take care of it. They did.
It could be a tough place to work but Ross was a fair man and took care of his people. He may have been sidetracked in later years and I wish he hadn't decided to run for President, but I still have a lot of respect for him.
