He’s such a winner the dims sent him money in the primary.

That's communist propaganda.

No offense..but you really need to take a break from listening to the TV talking heads. It’s like everything you posted came right out of a Karl Rove newsletter. If we don’t win, it’s because of the constant division that we are seeing; not getting behind the man. It looks like some want to go with Palin’s pick. It’s too late. The woman came in 3rd and the Gop-e would hand pick a moderate with a clean PC coat. Get behind the conservative in case the Gop-e interferes even more. Imo. Why are people being so stubborn-I want my way. I want to change the candidate because he made a gaffe. Stop walking on egg shells. Go toward the storm. Stop being afraid of the liberals with the conservative message.

Doubt if it will, but good for Missouri voters. It’s their vote that counts - Ann Coulter should stuff it.. I mean literally.. she’s such a stick.

“Because they lost the primary!”
Only because Air Claire McCaskill pumped $2 million into ads to help get her hand-picked opponent - Akin.

She has the goods on him to stay 10 points ahead.

“This race is far from over, 3 months away from election day.”

This race is over. Akin is toxic. His PPP poll favorable / unfav were horrible. 60% unfavorable. 28% favorable. A majority want him out of the race. Ras poll has him 10 points down to Claire McCaskill, and that means he lost 20 points since last week.

IT MEANS AKIN IS NOW RUNNING 20 POINTS WEAKER THAN ANY OTHER REPUBLICAN UP AGAINST MCCASKILL!

It’s an absolute travesty to have Akin in there and lose, when you can have a good solid prolife conservative like John Brunner go in there and win big.

Akin is the Christine Odonnell of this season.
Hope is folly when you have a blunder that bad.

running for office is a job interview.... and Akin blew the interview.

You act as though it was a gaffe about tax policy, etc. It was a gaffe on rape - RAPE. It’s ridiculous for you to just brush it off and say we should have “defended” it. It’s not defensible - there is no way defending a gaffe on the subject of rape is a winning message. He caused this problem - no one else. If he was talking about something else and was being smeared, you would have a valid argument - but he wasn’t.

The only “conservatives” that count in a race that is in Missouri are Missouri conservative voters. The GOPe should take their balls and go home.

Yep and here was her sales pitch...

Is Claire McCaskill helping Todd Akin in the GOP primary?

To conservatives, McCaskill's "criticisms" in the Akin commercial sound more like compliments: that he opposes big government and wants to cut the federal departments of energy and education; and that he has been hotly critical of Obama.

At one point, the ad makes an allegation that sounds as if it could be on an Akin bumper sticker: "Todd's pro-family agenda would outlaw many forms of contraception."

The ad closes with the narrator speaking words that are shown on the screen next to Akin: "Missouri's TRUE conservative ..." Only after a pause does the rest of the phrase come up: "...is just TOO conservative."

There are plenty of intelligent, articulate opponents of the killing of unborn children. Todd Akin is not one of them. He’s already demonstrated that he’s a fool. He’s now busy demonstrating that he is perfectly willing to place his self-interest ahead of any cause or principle he claims to support. Come to think of it - he’d fit in perfectly in the Senate.

I think this way because I think and read through the

man's past record and can SEE that he is being railroaded

due to political correctness.

There is no doubt about that.

To: Jim Robinson; P-Marlowe; wagglebee; cripplecreek; cva66snipe; Elvina; Finny; greyfoxx39; Hilda; ...

This truly is a moment highlighted in the famous quote: "Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me. "

Mike Huckabee has always been a principled social conservative, and he is precisely right about an orchestrated attack on a pro-life candidate. The following paragraph, though, is an indication that Huckabee has realized that social conservatives are no longer welcome in the GOP. It is an astounding thing for a major republican leader to write with such obvious bitterness. You MUST read it:

Who ordered this "Code Red" on Akin? There were talking point memos sent from the National Republican Senatorial Committee suggesting language to urge Akin to drop out. Political consultants were ordered to stay away from Akin or lose future business with GOP committees. Operatives were recruited to set up a network of pastors to call Akin to urge him to get out. Money has changed hands to push him off the plank. It is disgraceful. From the spotlights of political offices and media perches, it may appear that the demand for Akin’s head is universal in the party. I assure you it is not. There is a vast, but mostly quiet army of people who have an innate sense of fairness and don't like to see a fellow political pilgrim bullied. If Todd Akin loses the Senate seat, I will not blame Todd Akin. He made his mistake, but was man enough to admit it and apologize. I'm waiting for the apology from whoever the genius was on the high pedestals of our party who thought it wise to not only shoot our wounded, but run over him with tanks and trucks and then feed his body to the liberal wolves. It wasn't just Todd Akin that was treated with contempt by the thinly veiled attack on Todd Akin. It was all the people who have faithfully knocked doors, made calls, and made sacrificial contributions to elect Republicans because we thought we were welcome in the party. Todd Akin owned his mistake. Who will step up and admit the effort being made to discredit Akin and apologize for the sleazy way it's been handled?

The Akin Assault by the GOP is not just another indication that social conservatives are unwelcome in the Republican Party. It is an attack designed to destroy any voice they might have.

If we don't wake up, we will be having in America Christians tried for "hate speech" in very short order.

It was a rather clearly written statement. I can use google translator if you need to read it in your native language.

I hope the man hangs on and wins. It;s been disgusting to watch how the people in leadership are behaving. I don’t care he made a gaffe. He’s been punished enough for heavens sake. Crush that woman out of office, goal one.

Ive often been one for the under dog and this is one of those occassions...

I see a fellow American and Conservative and pro-lifer pro-lifer being hounded by pit bulls and sharks..

As a fellow American I cant sit idlely by or join the cowardly mob...

Instead I coose to continue to back a amn who was legally elect6ed as the Republican candidate to the US Seante from the state of Missouri...

TEA Party candidates dont impress me this year...

an out-of-state TEA Party is taking credit for giving us in Tennessee once again for the Senate an AMNESTY loving RINO Bob Corker the same Bob Corker we were all anxious to rid ourselves of...

So I really dont hold much awe dfor whomever a TEA Party wanted instead of the pro-life pro-life Todd Akin...

Due to the disgusting ill treatment that Akim has received at the hands of the despot Willard and his Giddy Ship of Fools the LilliGOP, I am ashamed that I was ever associated with the Republican Party...

In my area Democrats who know me havve been giddling behind their hands and commenting about the evil republicans...

I have no defence to return ...

I refuse to join Willard’s lynch mob and sit idlely by knitting while the guillotine of Robespeire Willard’s making falls swiftly and finally on Akins unfortunate neck...

and I dont make it a habit to join superstitious pitchfork brigades

If this whole ugly episode that Willard has created causes Willard to lose to Obama Willard will have nobody to blame but himself...

This small incident should have been left alone to blow over...

But NOOOOOO Willard has to open his big ugly stupid mouth and cause it to expand into a crisis so that then he could use to for political gain...

I do not intend to vote fot the nasty drama queen Willard and this just strengthens my resolve...

Just when I think Willard cant get any worse he manages to surprize me...

I think that if the people of MO dont rally behind their duly elected candidate Akin and tell dictator Willard to get lost they deserve to keep Claire for SIX more years...

It’s like why talk about rape at all? Did he think he was going to get more votes by conjuring a woman’s primary fear response?

47% of likely voters in Missouri now have a "very unfavorable impression" of Akin.

Aw come on, that wasn't the reason they lost!

Unlike O'Donnel, Akin's actually has held an elected political office and isn't running in a deep Blue State.

And a poll taken 3 months before an election is meaningless.

So, another guy takes his place and if he sticks his foot in his mouth, do you replace him as well?

The voters made their choice, that is why we have primaries.

Steelman had her own baggage to deal with, which the Democrats would have exploited as well.

You guys are just using this as an excuse to undo the primary results, which is anarchy.

The context was the stress involved due to the violence.

He wasn't saying that rape has to be violent to be rape, on the contrary, there are other kinds of rape that are criminal but not violent physically, such as under age seduction or use of drugs in 'date rape'.
