So what!
He is getting hammered by both the Democrats and cowards like you who want to throw in the towel because of some polls.
“AKIN IS RUNNING 16 POINTS WORSE THAN THE REPUBLICAN AT THE TOP OF THE TICKET!”
“So what! “
The obvious so-what is Akin is losing a race any other candidate would win. I want to win the seat. I confused you for someone who did as well.
Stop the handwringing and whining.
“He is running TODAY lower then the other Republicans,”
Almost 20 points lower. Amazing. Akin turned an easy win into a certain loss.
Plug your ears to reality all you want. It wont change the outcome.
Today isn't election day, stop cowering like an old woman.
You are the one cowering and hiding ... from reality. Akin is running 10 points behind McCaskill because of what HE said, not what anyone else in the party said.
Actually, Akin is running behind because the republican establishment has decide to promote propaganda from the death party to use against their own party.
If you want to get technical, it is all because of what doctors told Akin was true. Had Akin prefaced his comment with “I AM NOT A DOCTOR, BUT FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND FROM DOCTORS”... most of us would not even know who Todd Akin is yet.
Akin DID preface his comment. Akins statement was not true and not based on sound real science. It was medical ignorance based on junk science he read. It defies logic and it is contrary to actual rape pregnancy statistics. At this point, trying to defend his statement, which he has already apologized for and admits was wrong, only gets him into further trouble.
It is the cowards in the GOP, (such as yourself) that are making this more of an issue then it should be, playing right in to the Democrats hands.
“such as yourself” Quit blaming bystanders for the train wreck. Akin is the one driving the train off the rails, and I’m just telling you how it’s going down.
You seem to think acting (or being) clueless is a virtue. Think again:

... It aint. Its just a good way to lose to Democrats.
And no, we are not “making this more of an issue then it should be”, the Democrats and liberal media do that all by their lonesome, to the harm of any Republican stupid enough to insert his foot in his mouth.
Your thoughtful post gets a Standing Ovation. Republicans attacking Conservatives and defending liberals - it really is time to let the GOPe throw itself into the dustbin of history and start an official Tea Party - and I don’t mean waiting until 2016. We need Conservatives who actually believe in Conservatism now.
Akin won the primary and as long he chooses to stay in the race, deserves GOP support.
I agree that all our Republican candidates in the general election deserve support, including Akin, should he stay in. Pointing out that Akin has rendered himself unelectable with his blunder is not ‘panic’, but reality, and the best way to lose to Democrats is to blunder like he did and fail to have the candidates and campaigns do what it takes to win.
The GOP needs to simply say that the Akins is the primary winner and will get their support.
This is a MO issue, not a national GOP one.
