What a JR. high school level report. One paragraph, and not a clue as to when he was embassador, And which president appointed him, and is he a (D) or an (R)?

How do you spell "incompetent?"

Actually, he was US Ambassador to Iraq, under Bush and then retired. The moron in the white house asked him to come out of retirement to try and do something in A’stan, like he did in Iraq(which wasn’t really much. iraqi’s are just a wee bit more civilized than the savages in A’stan. a wee bit)

Anywho, he’s a muslim sympathizer that speaks arabic. Spent most of his diplomatic career in the Middle East and used to roam the desert w/ the nomads back in the day. Met his wife(trainwreck, hippie who hates everyone) in Baghdad back in the ‘70s when he was a young FSO and she was a secretary, both working at the US Embassy.

But, he’s definitely an ELITIST A**HOLE

Appointed by Bush.
I knew he was far from perfect but this is just adding to my historic discomfort. I just can't buy into "one way" bipartisanship.

Oh well...

Crocker is a careerist so he is not affiliated with a political party. He has served since the early 70s but had his first high level job under GHW Bush. He has worked for both dems and pubs.

He came back under Obama because Holbrooke died and Gen Eikenberry left his job as ambassador.

Rather than political affiliation you recognize that he is affliated with the Realist foreign policy doctrine

I’m with you. He’s typical of most State Dept folks. Get jobs with the State Dept. Live all over the world on the taxpayer dime and much like most Afghani’s, loyalty is to whoever is signing the checks. No problem.

Then for the State Dept folks that have the Kool Aid injected thru IV’s, its drink and do drugs every chance you get. Take up and enjoy the swinging lifestyle. Wife swap. Get your significant others, well paying - do nothing jobs like being a courier. Marry a local national fo the country you’re assigned to and get them a do-nothing job. If you have kids, they get to go to the best, most expensive($30K+ per year for most) schools in whatever country you’re assigned to. All that good stuff. And, eventually learn to hate the country that employs you because all of the people you associate with(local nationals) hate the US.

Saw it firsthand for 4 years.
