State government knows there is a problem if they hire competent workers. They won’t vote the union way.
So if a department is shut down, why weren’t they just terminated? If this happened in a for-profit business, that is certainly what would happen. I would like to think that the person(s) who hired these people is also standing in the unemployment line.
