The problem is that at this CRITICAL point in our nation's history, we have no margin for screw-ups like Akin.

Akin boasted about his fundraising as a message to "party bosses" who want him out of the race, but the message from the polling numbers is louder: McCaskill looks to be winning.

If we don't get a majority in the Senate, Obamacare, with its abortion provisions, contraception funding and death panels will become the law of the land. Our families will be living under socialized medicine. And Akin doesn't seem to care. Instead, it's all about his foolish ambition.

Missouri is likely lost regardless of what he does. Time to focus on the other states where there is still a chance.
