I posted in another thread the the GOPe didn't reach Akin's 'price' yesterday, but backroom dealing is probably still going on.

Akin will probably either run and lose or retire wealthy.

He's probably already cut a deal.... with some underground Democrat org (Soros funded) for a couple of million to stay in the race. The guy can't be as stupid as he appears to be, but the lust for money can make people do some goofy things.

Since Akin won the primary, he doesn’t have to step down.

Any attempt to run a write-in in Missouri will simply split the party. Missouri is a huge population compared to Alaska where a write-in candidate worked.

A write-in would probably just throw the election to McCaskill.
