Character isn’t necessarily a problem (and one never learns the truth about any politician’s character until after he/she assumes office and follows words with actions). But he certainly is possessed either of bad judgment or of a dearth of usable gray matter. Either way he would be a poor candidate and, likely, a poor officeholder.
