I heard that interview and was curious why Robert “The Smirker” Gibbs even brought Trump into the conversation.
There is a reason.

Trump is never one to not take the chance to be in front of a camera. He has declined to speak at the GOP convention. This is odd, this is very odd. At the same time the former Press Secretary is attacking Trump and calling him a “right wing nut job.”
Trump either has something that is devastating to Obama or they think he has. Why attack Trump in this manner unless there is something out there that is very bad for Obama. If they were not afraid of something out there, the best thing for them to do is just laugh it off and ignore Trump.
They are frightened of something.
Gibbs was being called out on Obamacare death panels of unelected people cutting services in Medicare to help fund Obamacare. Gibbs tried to call it increased efficiency. (Paraphrase) He was dancing around the reality --seniors will be impacted and services limited.
