With reports circulating that federal regulators will not seek criminal charges in the collapse of brokerage MF Global, the firms former head, Jon Corzine is considering a new career option.
The one-time Governor of New Jersey and former head of Wall Street giant Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS), is mulling the idea of starting his own hedge fund, according to the New York Times.

However, sources close to the former governor say that Corzine wants to rebuild his image as a money manager and shake off the stigma attached to MF Globals demise.

If anybody invests with Jon Corzine, at this point, they deserve to lose every penny.
Forewarned is to be forearmed.
Maybe he can get Madoff to be CFO..
I gotta bridge that I want to sell you....
Bernie Madoff must be wondering where he went wrong.
It goes even deeper than that, though. The Government Accountability Institute reports that Corzines/MFGs law firm was Eric Holders old firm before he became President Obamas attorney general.
The son-of-a-bitch ought to be in jail.
But as usual, the criminals protect their own.
Where’s the money Jon?
What money?
I.2 BILLION
I dunno
Oh OK
Anyone who invests in any Wall street firm is not paying attention.
“Congressional Select Funds”
“Senatorial Insider Trading Funds”
“Congressional Advantage Investors Fund”
“Excess Campaign Fund Recycling ETF”
“’It’s not a bribe if we make it legal’ Fund”
“Insider Trading Is OK for us Fund”
Will there be ANY investigation of where the seed money comes from?
Perhaps the missing funds from his prior career could finally be accounted for.
Did he already spend all that money he just stole?
So maybe this crook Corzine is avoiding criminal charges for “misplacing” $1.2 billion in customer funds at MF Global because he’s an insider Democrat criminal, but isn’t there some oversight agency or regulator that can hold him responsible and slap sanctions on him? I mean how can that much money just disappear under the nose of the chief executive of the company without him being held accountable? And now he wants to start his own hedge fund? Who in their right mind would invest in anything this man got close to? Aren’t there any licenses that he requires to do this? Aren’t there any restrictions keeping him from being in the same business or industry after the MF Global debacle?
In a society where little kids can’t even open a lemonade stand to make a few dollars and learn to be responsible citizens, why is this guy allowed to do anything in the financial world at all? He should be delegated to the trash heap of history and only be allowed to work in a fast food dive, cleaning toilets. Of course, with his record, he could always become one of Obama’s cabinet secretaries or shadow government communist czars.
I’m glad the Republican leadership is all over this guy and screaming for justice and linking him to that corrupt Obama and......oh wait....never mind.
How much ya wanna bet Chris Dodd and Bahwaney Fwank are part of the deal....
Anyone stupid enough to give this crook their money deserves to be swindled.
So nice of Holder’s Injustice Dept. not to bring charges against this Obama campaign bundler...and Corzine isn’t even one of Holder’s people.
The DOJ might not file charges but that shouldn’t stop the states and public from filing suit. In the case of the state (not federal), I would think that they could still bring criminal charges and I hope they do.
