WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A group of former U.S. intelligence and Special Forces operatives is set to launch a media campaign, including TV ads, that scolds President Barack Obama for taking credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden and argues that high-level leaks are endangering American lives. Leaders of the group, the Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund Inc, say it is nonpartisan and unconnected to any political party or presidential campaign. It is registered as a so-called social welfare group, which means its primary purpose is to further the common good and its political activities should be secondary.

Don’t apologize. It is one of those videos that people tend to put off watching because of the length but it is a must see for every person concerned with our country. I watched it earlier this evening and it is shocking what Obama is doing to this country and our military. I have sent it out to my friends and I hope that millions watch this video.

“Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund Inc, say it is nonpartisan and unconnected to any political party or presidential campaign”

From it’s home page: http://www.opsecteam.org/index.html

“STOP .....President Obama.....from politically capitalizing”

Nonpartisan? Unconnected to any presidential campaign?

I agree with what they are doing, let’s tag Obama any way we can. However, their tax exempt status is not likely to survive. From the IRS:

“The promotion of social welfare does not include direct or indirect participation or intervention in political campaigns on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate for public office. However, a section 501(c)(4) social welfare organization may engage in some political activities, so long as that is not its primary activity. However, any expenditure it makes for political activities may be subject to tax under section 527(f).”

Their primary interest is raising money to oppose a vulnerable side of Obama’s presidential campaign.

The leaders and the owners of this business corporation are swift boating towards hot water.

If this activity is allowed we will be swamped with labor unions starting tax exempt 501(c)(4)s with attack ads not directed at Romney-Ryan but at Seamus the dog under the guise of animal rights.

They have declined to name the ownership of this money raising business and how the money will be spent, whether on personal expenses or for a supposed social welfare reason which for now is only aimed at Obama.

Thank you. I love this site and all the comments but just find it hard to post my own. I’m not sure that I have that much to say.
