Most of our founding fathers smoked hemp as well as other mind altering plants.

What a lying idiot.

Hemp was not for smoking in Europe and America, although they knew since at least the Greeks, that the Arabs and Indians preferred it as an intoxicant. Even during the centuries of the Crusades, the European whites would not use pot as an intoxicant, it was officially considered wrong.

“What a lying idiot.”

I see your personal attacks are still alive and well. Luckily, the truth and plain common sense is on my side so I need not stoop so low.

“Hemp was not for smoking in Europe and America”

How so? There were NO LAWS restricting hemp use until the 20th century. In fact, every single early law related to hemp MANDATED growing it.

Prior to this idiotic prohibition, there were no restrictions on what you put in your pipe. Hemp grew EVERYWHERE and is one of the cheapest, smoothest and most fragrant plants there is. Do you honestly think people were too dumb to try smoking such a fragrant, ubiquitous plant?

You just don’t hear much about it wasn’t a big deal at all until 1937. My Ukrainian grandmother and great-grandmother always told me of people smoking it and couldn’t believe that it was outlawed. They saw dozens of people KILLED by the bottle and not a single one harmed by hemp.

“Even during the centuries of the Crusades, the European whites would not use pot as an intoxicant, it was officially considered wrong.”

According to whom? Can you show me a single document written before the 20th century that says smoking it was “wrong”?

Please go on the link I sent you in my last post, click the references and read about the founding fathers. In fact, just last night I saw a documentary on the History Channel that showed the founding fathers smoking hemp during the formation of our government. Look up their schedule from last night. If you have trouble, let me know.

The effects ONLY have to do with how YOU think and how strong YOUR character is. If you are a Jersey Shore idiot and want to get “hiiiiiiiigh” and stupid, YOU will. If you are an educated lawyer, philosopher, etc (like our founders) looking for more perspectives, that's what YOU will get.

Unfortunately, smokers of the former variety are more visible because the ones in the latter category keep a low profile due to people who think like you. They privately smoke in posh clubs, million dollar homes and penthouses. They get ounces of hemp delivered faster than pizza from dealers who wear suits while laughing at prohibition and all the black people jailed for $5 bags. You can choose not to believe me but I speak 100% truth that I've seen with my own eyes...

Yes, lying idiot, trying to spread that BS. Arguing with dopers is as much a waste of time as it was in the 1960s.

I would appreciate that reference!

Sarah Palin smoked marijuana and said that, in her view, ‘it’s no big deal.’

Please check the references on the article I sent you. Please open your mind and read. If you wish to counter it with fact instead of wild personal attacks, we can go from there.

Over a dozen historians said the same thing I did on the History Channel just last night. If you need help finding this documentary, let me know.

Arguing is never a waste of time when one argues for truth...

” Yes,yes, and yes. Cowardly slurs are the Drug Warriors’ stock in trade. (Funny how they so often claim to be defending civilization and/or morality, when their online behavior is so beneath contempt.)”

100% correct. I've never received a response from them that didn't include cowardly personal attacks. The facts simply don't support a WOD so they resort to name calling.

But fear not. Even on this site with a much older crowd, there aren't too many of them around. They are so desperate that we think one was using multiple handles to attack the truth. The server records to prove it are obviously off limits but their posting history painted a very bad picture.

Most that engaged me in long debates seemed to be from law enforcement or related industries. I often send them a PM pointing out the clues that made me think so. None have confirmed they are/were LE and none have offered other explanations for these clues.
