I wish everyone would look this up for this state and start responding to these voter id objections as being stupid: YOU NEED AN ID TO REGISTER TO VOTE, at least, in Texas. Its IMPOSSIBLE for someone to not be able to show an ID to vote if they are registered, since they’ve ALREADY shown one to register.
This business of talking about where an ID is needed is all well and good, but the real response, as shown here, shows the absolute STUPIDITY of arguing this will suppress ANY voter turnout.
So, please, look up your state’s statute on voter registration requirements and post it here.

If you don’t have either of those, verification by the last 4 digits of the your social security number, a copy of a current and valid photo identification, or a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check, or other government document that shows your name and address will be required. A person may also demonstrate sufficient proof of identity by submission of a photo identification issued by a college or university accompanied by either a copy of the applicant’s contract or lease for a residence or any postmarked mail delivered to the applicant at his or her current residence address.
