Long after they were ordered out of the country, thousands of criminal aliens from places like China, Cuba, Vietnam and Pakistan remain free in the United States to commit new crimes because their home countries refuse to take them back.
For years, this unique problem percolated under the political radar. But recent crimes by immigrant felons have lawmakers scrambling to punish nations that refuse to repatriate their own citizens. The Obama administration and many Democrats in Congress, however, are blocking punitive legislation, preferring to let the State Department handle the issue diplomatically.
Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas, is leading the charge in Congress to change the law, pushing to withhold visas to nations that refuse to take back their own.
"I don't know why the State Department seems to take the side of foreign countries over our own American interest in the United States," Poe said, urging the U.S. to tell those countries: "Look, you take these people back or the consequence is going to be no visas for your nation."
Under a 2001 Supreme Court decision, U.S. immigration officials are only permitted to hold someone for six months after their incarceration. So when a home nation refuses to take back their national, the U.S. is required to release them -- no matter what they've done.
The issue recently came to Poe's attention after three especially heinous crimes were committed by men ordered deported years ago.
In June, a judge sentenced 22-year-old Shafiqul Islam, a Bangladeshi national, for the murder of 73-year-old Lois Decker.
"This man was a dangerous criminal," said Hudson New York District Attorney Paul Czajka. "He should not have been in the United States. At the very least, he should have been in detention."
Islam murdered Decker after serving a year for sexually assaulting a child. After his...

Have always thought that if the lights should ever go out ... the illegals from wherever would take out first those who hired them on the first week of lights out if they could. A true case of employer beware.
How about we release them in their home country anyway, say from about 15,000 feet or so.
Or just drop them over the side of a ship, with a rubber raft and paddles, and tell them "Your home country is THAT way".
IMO the incompetence of the federal government is absolutely mind boggling.

I think that is what Russia does to those boat people who hijack Russian ships. With no food or water. And possibly no paddles.
What makes me sick is that the federal government really has one responsibility that really supersedes all others and that it to protect Americans from invasion and foreign criminals.
Quite honestly, I don’t even see the point of having a military if the federal government won’t even defend our own borders and the American people.
for the AFIRE ping list

Whenever an illegal alien kills someone in a drunk driving accident or something similar, here’s what I recommend:
What can we do about it? Heres my standard post.
RICO Citizen Recourse
Private persons and entities may initiate civil suits to obtain injunctions and treble damages against enterprises that conspire to or actually violate federal alien smuggling, harboring, or document fraud statutes, under the Racketeer-Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO). The pattern of racketeering activity is defined as commission of two or more of the listed crimes. A RICO enterprise can be any individual legal entity, or a group of individuals who are not a legal entity but are associated in fact, and can include nonprofit associations.
Heres what Ive been pushing: its time to file Racketeering, Influencing, and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) lawsuits.
RICO lawyers could turn it around in a few years and MAKE MONEY at the same time. Im surprised they havent done it already.
In the absence of enforcement, we can get the word out in the meantime that there is money to be made in filing RICO lawsuits against employers who hire illegal aliens like this jerk.
Employers would have no trouble shutting down the border if they could get sued by someone under the RICO statutes for hiring these people in the first place. The next time an illegal alien kills someone in a drunk driving accident or somesuch thing, Im going to point out that the victims family might be able to seek compensation from the employer under these statutes in the hopes that it would catch on. If this did catch on, would see such a swift backlash against illegal immigration that no employer would go near these people and theyll all simply want to go back home.
*** remain free in the United States to commit new crimes because their home countries refuse to take them back. ***
As they are not American Citizens they should not have rights. So, when they commit a crime, we should hang them right after the trial.
Alternatively, failure to accept a deportee should make that country's ambassador subject to imprisonment in a particularly dank and dark dungeon.

Well, I wouldn't drop them off without supplies, and would drop them off just outside their home country's territorial waters. They should be able to make it to shore.
“More than 50,000 criminal alien immigrants ordered deported remain in the U.S.”
All voting for Obama.
Simple solution:
C-141, 30,000 feet, parachute.
Problem SOLVED!
Easy way to handle it....
Do not allow their nationals to visit the US...deny entry to all people from those countries until they take their illegal aliens back
And, with countries like Communist China, slap tariffs on them if they do not take back their illegals
Unfortunately, too many Liberal America-hater Free Traders hate anything America does to rectify any immigration issue. We have the ways to correct this....lets not let anti-Americans dictate what we do
If they’re going to treat the USA like a dumping ground, none of their citizens should be here.
BTT
Fine.
Drop 'em off just outside territorial waters ...
Should have been done ages ago and has been proposed before but I am sure the State Department rebelled because they are such sellouts and leftists there. They could care less about border security and illegal immigration but if you said their paychecks would be reduced by 50% then they would spring into action on this
