DEBKA is a little overwrought, the best way to ensure a coup against the MB is to try to force a military confrontation with Israel that would smoke Egypt’s armed force.
Since this is a subject I’m quite keen on, I still read it. It only whetted the appetite, however.

I have to think/consider if this is an effort to tie-up Israel’s defense forces (to an extent) and leadership at a time when Israel is reaching a decision point on taking out Iranian nuke facilities?
