“She DID quit. She can get back into the game thru a Cabinet post and/or running in 2014 for the senate seat. Otherwise she’s just an ornament-not serious.”at’

Yeah, and George Washington quit when he retreated from New York rather than face certain annihilation in an unfriendly environment (New York was full of Loyalists) that limited his maneuvering room.

One must sometimes reposition in order to strike back and eventually win. History is full of General Custer's who just refused to acknowledge reality and give up some ground when necessary. Sarah has handled things admirably in this regard and is now a more powerful force for conservatism than she could possibly have been in the Little Big Horn of the Alaska Governors Mansion.

To claim she's just an ornament simply doesn't compute given how she's dominated so many news cycles and positively affected so many local and national races.

I've got my own gripes with Sarah - things like her tendency to screech when she gets excited (she should study the delivery of ladies like Thatcher or the Queen Elizabeth who didn't need to scream to be heard) and tendency to focus on “girl power,” but calling her a quitter confuses tactics with strategy. She's executing a brilliant strategy.

Really? GW quit his position, went back to Mt. Vernon, trademarked his name, wrote a book, went on a book tour and spent the rest of the war kibbutzing from the sidelines? I don't remember learning that part.

“ladies like Thatcher or the Queen Elizabeth”

LOL, so Sarah should try to emulate snooty formal British women who act like they have a stick up their azz? Please. And the Queen? A wacky combo of leftish monarchist British motherhood crap that is well-chronicled in “The Wall” by Pink Floyd.
I appreciate your take on Sarah’s effectiveness, but i’ve never heard her “screech”. The only time she spoke in a non-standard tone, is when she had to be heard above a yet another wildly enthusiastic noisy crowd.

That screeching accusation is nothing but code for, “she didn’t come from a school and class of society we approve of”. That and a fetish some people have for cold emotionless business CEO types. If she sounded like Thatcher, the Queen, Laura Bush, Elizabeth Edwards, or Carolyn Kennedy, i wouldn’t like her anymore.

I defy you to post a video of her “screeching” that doesn’t feature her trying to be heard, often in the rain, at some noisy rally.
