Damned good choice. Ryan is solid conservative and brilliant.

Really brilliant, not like Obama.

I agree, although there appears to be some celebration by democRATs on CNN and over at the DUMP (democRATic Underground) that Romney is picking Ryan and not Rubio.

I love Paul Ryan, but I admit I thought our best chance to win would be with Rubio...

I'm just SO relieved he didn't pick Portman or Pawlenty!

They would have done the same no matter who was the choice. I vividly recall the laughter and snide remarks when Reagan was nominated back in 1980. If it were Rubio they would have pounded on the scandal over the use of credit cards even though he was exonerated.

All the libs would care about is the accusation and they would have played it up for all it was worth.

Anyone would have been good so long as it wasn’t Jebbie or Condi. I also think Pawlenty lacks the backbone for a national campaign and could not bring MN along. It remains to be seen if Ryan can lock up WI. Spiro Agnew could not pry MD from HHH in 1968.
