That's the same as asking what do you prefer brain cancer or lung cancer.
If conservatives want to eliminate the cancer infecting both parties they need to stop electing the lesser of two evils.
Okay. I'll answer. If those are the only two possible eventualities then I'd prefer lung cancer. I'm not asking who you will vote for nor if you will vote. Unfortunately either Romney or Obama will be the next president of the USA. It can't be neither. Who do you prefer it be? |

Face it, you are never gonna be elected POTUS. If you walk around thinking that anyone who disagrees with you at all is evil, you cant participate in the negotiation for the actual selection at all. There isnt any principled way, tho, of selecting among more than two candidates - the guy who finishes third might be acceptable to more people than the guy who finishes second, or even first. What that tells me is that the point of voting realistically cannot be to select the best person for the job - but only to limit how bad the failure to select the best person for the job will actually be.
We know that we wont select the best person for the job; I would argue that the best person for the job usually doesnt even run for the job. With all the jerks we have in Congress, does it seem possible that there isnt a lawyer, or a physician or a businessman anywhere in the half-million people in an congressional district who would be better than their actual congressman?
Unfortunately, if the election goes the wrong way there will only be one evil and possibly the end of America as we know it.
In 1992 I voted for Ross Perot because I did what I thought was the sensible conscientious choice and as a result we just went further down the “destruction of America” path.
If you have made your decision so be it. But my hope is you have had some time in prayer which led you to your position.
I wish that were possible, but until it is... I’ve been down the 3rd party road - I actually started there. The only way to change it is from the inside, IMO. Change the things you are able to change. Stem the blood flow when you can.
If conservatives want to eliminate the cancer infecting both parties they need to learn how to persuade voters, not just complaining and play victims like liberals do.
By applying your philosophy, the GREATER of two evils will always triumph. And soon we will be no more.
However, I refuse to believe that America cannot be great again, yet. Those down ticket conservatives can do little with a communist dictator at the top. Those same down ticket conservatives just might get a little accomplished with Romney and Ryan at the top.
If you choose not to vote in the presidential election, then you have put your stamp of approval by default on Obama, Holder, Hillary, Van Jones, Bill Ayers, Rev. Wright,Rev.Al, Janet Nappy, Kagan, Sotomyer, and on and on. And they WILL use the polical capital they will have if they win on us.
At one time I thought about not voting if Romney became the nominee, but I thought it over, and changed my mind. I will GLADLY pull the handle for him in order to get rid of Obama.
