Can any student ask that his/her records not be released to anyone? If not, what gives these schools the authority to not release Obama’s?
One's records can ONLY be released if the student signs a release. The only reason Republican's grades (if not flattering) come out is that University Records Offices are pretty much over-run with College bureaucratic hangers-on, who, as a class, tend to be highly unethical when it serves some leftist purpose.
If this request had been about a Republican the information would have been 'leaked' before the last election. But since Obama's a democrat - and colleges are run by liberal elites - they'll protect him. Along with papers like the New York Times, Washington Post and Boston Globe. The Liberal Elite Establishment is powerful, biased and corrupt. They also stand together.
If you're Baraq al-Husseini, you can have anything sealed/released that you want. Hide your school transcripts, but get the sealed divorce records of your political opponent published far and wide...anybody remember that?
Unfortunately, yes. When our son was in college, the college could not even inform us that he had been suspended for disciplinary reasons because he was over 18. The records belonged to him and there were privacy issues. Even though WE were paying his tuition.
