Michigan's attorney general has charged four of former U.S. Rep. Thaddeus McCotter's campaign staffers in an investigation into fake and duplicate signatures on nominating petitions.
Attorney General Bill Schuette announced charges Thursday ranging from forgery and conspiracy to falsely signing election documents.

I'd say that the staff were not real conservatives (moral - do it right types).

Easier to make copies of old petitions than to actually collect a thousand signatures. McCotter trusted the wrong people and it cost him his seat in Congress.

Gotta agree with the AG on this one. McCotter was asleep at the switch this time. However we can be proud that our AG and SOS have the integrity to go after this regardless of party.

This is too bad. I really appreciated McCotter on Red Eye the couple of times I saw him. Funny and bright guy.

Not wildly conservative and a little more than too friendly with the unions but he was proof that Tea Partiers could compromise and accept someone not strictly in our camp.
