Politico: President Barack Obama will be at the Republican National Convention in Tampa later this month on local TV, that is.
Obama's team plunked down more than $181,000 in ad time on Tampa-area network affiliates for the last week of August, to ensure that the president isn't completely out the spotlight when Mitt Romney is crowned as the GOP standard-bearer.

I would kind of agree. That’s $181k gone without any true benefit.
My humble bet is that even if the President wins in November...somewhere around mid-December....the financial numbers will be laid out and the Obama campaign still owes $200 million that they don’t have. The amount of “burn” on campaign funding will be this major topic. The Democratic party will be furious because every single effort of the Obama team will be to seek dinners and donations to repay this debt, which will take four years. The rest of the party will suffer in a massive way because of this debt. The President could write a book every six months, and still only clear off $40 million at best.
If he loses how many would go to the luncheons/dinners and give donations?
The idea of the boy being out of office and $200M in debt makes me smile.
Ummm...
Demographically our metro market matches the country as a whole.
In case you didn’t notice Florida was a pretty important state in 2000, too.
The city of Tampa is a swing area... in 2008 McCain ran a useless campaign.
I was a volunteer... actually let’s call that attempted volunteer, he had a bunch of YRs show up for sign waving... and didn’t provide signs.
