An 8 year-old boy from Sumter, SC died from the same type of infection after swimming in a part of Lake Marion, SC a few weeks. My family and I live on this lake, and where this young man was swimming is close to my house. I have told my husband under no circumstances will I allow our 3 year-old into the water.
