BTW, the only way that Senators Landrieu and Hagan can avoid becoming Blanche Landrieu and Blanche Hagan in 2014 is for them to retire.
Count me mildly surprised at Todd Akin’s victory. He’s never faced a competitive general election before and has always run in affluent safely Republican suburbs until now and I wonder, how prepared is he for it?
That being said, voters may be so tired of Claire McCaskill and her sugar daddy/husband that it won’t matter. If elected, Akin will be very good on the issues.
