The article says that McCaskill took out ads against all thee repubs.
I only saw ads against Akin. Which is I believe the candidate that she wants to run against.

If Akin lives up to the ad that Claire was running against him, I’ll be a very happy Missourian.

Catty hags in the Lame-Stream Media likely sharpening their claws to write the death knell of Sarah Palin’s influence.

He has been a fairly solid conservative. A couple of questionable votes, but that is hard to avoid when they stick unrelated legislation on to funding bills.

Polling has shown that Claire loses to Akin, as well as Steeleman and Brunner. Now we’ll find out. Akin, I thought was so far behind that he’d be in third place at the end of the night. I thought he was ‘too conservative’ so said Clair’es ad. Hope he’s as good as Claire says he is!

Would you sum up the situation and significance for those of us not from Missouri?

Obama's minions are being picked off. Claire was Obama's number one groupie.

Did you see that Akin and his wife home schooled their 4 boys and 2 girls?

Akin...I thought he was ‘too conservative’ so said Clair’es ad.

Compared to what? Were the founders "too conservative" are the American people "too conservative"? In the US, right-wing means adherence to the Constitution, limited government, and the belief in self-reliant individuals with equal rights and responsibility.

All our enemies in wartime; the Nazis, the Soviets, the communists in Viet Nam and Cambodia, even the confedeRAT democRATS have been leftist control freaks.

In the oaths of office, where they refer to "defending the Constitution against all enemies both foreign and domestic" those "domestic enemies" are people like McCaskill, Reid, Pelosi, obama, AKA...the RATs.

From http://www.semissourian.com/story/1879404.html

“McCaskill may also have aided Akin with a TV ad in which she highlighted his conservative viewpoints — calling him a “crusader against bigger government,” asserting that he wants to eliminate some federal agencies and privatize Social Security and noting that he promotes a “pro-family agenda” — before ending the commercial by claiming that Akin “is just too conservative.”

Some Republicans at the polls Tuesday said McCaskill’s ad increased their desire to vote for Akin. At least a couple Democrats said they crossed over and voted for Akin in the Republican primary in the hope he’d be an easier target for McCaskill in the general election.

I know that much (didn't know what she looked like though -- LOL!). I was wondering about the relative merits of the three Republicans.

Is Akin really the Republican who is closest to the values of the Tea Party? I only ask because a poster on the thread seemed skeptical.

I don't mean this in any way to be critical of anyone -- Just how can I learn if I don't ask questions??? ;-)

I liked McCackle’s ads touting Akin’s small government philosophy. Count me as in full support of eliminating departments of Education, Energy and Commerce.

I can only speak for the Tea Partiers I know around here (who were for Brunner). The ad was a pitch for Aiken stating he was too conservative for Mo. A brilliant ad designed to put him over the top. Whoever wins the areas surrounding St. Louis & K. C. (Democratic strong holds) win the election. Brunner & Steelman had a better chance to pick up some votes in those areas. With her ad the ground work has already been laid for the Dems to have an easier time getting votes in those areas. His conservative credentials make him the easiest candidate for them to pick off. They won’t need as many dead voters......

At least that’s how some of us see it.

Catty hags in the Lame-Stream Media . . .

Yes, I’m waiting. Wonder if they’ll notice that just about all her “losses” are female. But she’s in a most unfortunate box, having to support SOME females. And even her “wins” in that category aren’t always the best (like those who backed Romney before he collected the requisite primary votes).

Akin will do just fine. He has been around awhile and does not have a lot of dirt or garbage that can be thrown at him. I liked him the best of the three candidates. He is a good choice to take on Claire. I would have been happy to vote for either of the other two as well. It was refreshing to have some decent choices for once.

All candidates were saying what TEA party members wanted to hear. It was a race to see who could be the strongest TEA.

Brunner came out of nowhere and spent 2 to 3 million dollars of his own money. He said all of the right things and ran tons of negative adds against Steelman. Was he TEA party enough? We would have to take his word for it.

Steelman comes from a family of lawyers and politicians. I think she would have done a fine job. Was she just jumping on the TEA party wave as a way to get elected? I don’t know. She made enemies in the State Republican party and that is not always a deal killer in my eyes. Early in her career she took a ton of money from the trial lawyers. State treasurer.

Akin is solid and unlikely to have any hidden skeletons. I’m sure someone can find a vote or two and claim that it proves that he is not conservative enough.
