This may not be a popular opinion, but I actually believe there is value in studying these types of mental disorders. Once these guys realize they're not getting out, they are more likely to open up and discuss what's going on in their brains. A well trained psychiatrist can gain valuable insight into behaviors that may help profile potential multi-victim shooters.

The Colorado shooter was identified correctly as a real threat...the problem is what to do with the info.
