The man authorities say killed six in a Milwaukee-area Sikh temple before police shot him was a heavily-tattooed, 40-year-old ex-Army soldier, sources told Fox News, but what triggered his rampage remains unclear.
Sources identified the dead suspect as Wade Michael Page, who was at one time attached to the Fort Bragg Army installation in North Carolina. Local authorities have scheduled a 10 a.m. press conference, where more details may emerge about Page and what the FBI is treating as an act of domestic terrorism in the temple, in the Milwaukee suburb of Oak Creek. Six people were killed and four wounded, including a police officer, before the man being identified as Page was shot dead by a police officer.
Satwant Kaleka, president of the temple, was one of those killed. Sources told Fox News he attempted to tackle the suspect as he sprayed gunfire inside the temple.

But Ft. Hood was “workplace violence”. Right, got it. If it is against the bedrock of this country it is just simple violence, if it is against some sort of Minority, it is terrorism.
The template is now plain to see.
Also heard on Fox (NO idea if this is true) he’s “active-duty” and that his girlfriend is in custody.
Things are becoming very fishy very very fast. Why now? Why from “nuts?” Both had connections with Gumment agencies.
It has been corrected that he is a veteran and was attached to Ft. Bragg at one time. He was not active duty. It is also reported he had lots of supremacist tattoos.
Dang, I was attached to Ft. Bragg on TDY at one time, and that was over 30 years ago.
No, the authorities aer searching for a way to spin the motive of the shooter to fit their agenda. Or how best to lie.
I foresee many Sikhs obtaining CCW (since Wisconsin now allows CCW). If you want to survive....don’t “mess with” Sikhs or Gurkhas.
I was also a dependent at Ft. Bragg and that was 1963/4. So that would make me double trouble.
That is true. They embody the Teddy Roosevelt definition of diplomacy and war.
‘Motive’???....seriously?
and this guy seems to be a total zero in terms of any information out there on the Net. I still think when the Holmes shooting couldn’t be used to for Os purpose that the possibility of false flag events is high
I think onecreason there are now sometimes lengthy delays in releasing names or other info is so Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and other websites can be scrubbed.
That’s really not all that nefarious. It used to be I could do a websearch on a name and gather info before other news people. In some cases hackers ...or possibly co conspirators...could go onto the same websites and post confusing info or delete it before it could be investigated.
Now I imagine social media and IP providers are notified and the webpages isolated and saved for investgztion or evidence.
I think when perpetrators of anything bad aren't Gay Muslim Illegal Immigrant Black Panther OWS Black Bloc Members, silly claims of false flag events will be high.
What exactly makes him a white supremacist? A 9/11 tattoo?
According to sources in the U.S. Army, Page enlisted in April 1992 and given a less-than-honorable discharge in October 1998. He served at Fort Bliss, Texas, in the psychological operations unit in 1994, and was last stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, attached to the psychological operations unit. The details of his discharge were not immediately clear.
Many people do not use Facebook, Myspace, or twitter.
Lack of information on this man would be alarming. People do not usually go out and murder wantonly.
Tea Party did it.
Nothing more to see here..... Sarc
Waiting for update from Brian Ross.
Maybe this ex-army guy decided to go GIJOE on the temple, because he kept hearing everyone say, “Hi. I’m Sikh of that Temple right there.”
“since Wisconsin now allows CCW”
You can bet that the gun grabbers want the shooter to be a new CCW holder in order to fit their agenda.
Obama’s Reichstag Fire? Oklahoma City Bombing?
