Palin Slams Media, Says She's 'Comfortable' Not Speaking at Convention
In a wide-ranging interview with FNC's Eric Bolling yesterday, Governor Sarah Palin said that the Romney camp has been in touch regarding the convention, but that nothing is yet confirmed. She also said that she "just want[s] to help" and, like Newt Gingrich, is comfortable with the idea of "speaking or not."
The video is below. This excerpt starts at 3:20:
Sometimes helping means you step aside and certainly you dont invite yourself into a leadership or speakership type role at a convention like this. You try to work with the strategy the campaign has in place, and evidently Romney's campaign has a strategy that they will implement. And whether I'm there or not as a speaker, I'm comfortable either way just like Newt Gingrich said he was comfortable either way -- speaking or not.Palin also made clear that she and Governor Romney have a good relationship:
Speaking personally, there is no hatchet to bury or olive branch that needs to be passed between Mitt Romney and myself. We have a good relationship and I have great respect for him and I am so thankful the GOP has a strong candidate who understands the private sector and what it takes to get the economy roaring again.
Maybe you don't realize any vote for a third party candidate will be a vote for that arrogant pos occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. I hope you will be happy if he gets reelected and finishes the destruction of this great Nation. You will have it on your conscience
Post#27 is for all you whiners
Kaslin, this is Mr. RomneyCARE's KARMA running over his dogma. [By Seamus]
We do NOT care what victims say when they
demonstrate Stockholm syndrome.
Mr. RomneyCARE is a VICIOUS BACKSTABBER WHO OWES HER AN APOLOGY.
Don't you think it is long overdue, too, Kaslin.
FLASHBACK:
The McCain/Palin ticket was up ++4 to 10 pts
in some polls, days prior to Election 2008.
So rather than helping the GOP, Romney and
TeamROMNEY and the RNME (Republican National Media Establishment)
decided
to attack Gov. Palin to throw Election2008.
Romney, and the Van der Sloot RNME RINOs for Obama in 2008
The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"Im told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palins people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romneys former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.
"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off .hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

P
I couldn’t agree more with you, Kaslin.
I’ll join Kaslin’s comments by saying stop the whining already! This next election is our chance to turn the carrier around but it will not happen overnight and it will take several elections to get it fully turned around. The reality is if the whiners stay home or vote third party, the rudder will be broken for all time and there will be no mulligans.
Just dig in and take the Republican Party back, period. If Obama wins again, there will only be one Party and the re-education camps will decide who gets to join it. Wake the H up and act like an adult.
Nope. My conscience tells me if Romney blacklists Palin, who's given so much to the Republican Party, and to our country, then I can't support him.
If that gets Obummer re-elected, it's Romney's fault, not mine.
All Romney has to do is to give a little token gesture to Palin and us Tea Party supporters. If he won't do that, I won't support him. He can go f### himself and the whole Republican Establishment.
Amen and bump to you Kaslin. Why would any conservative do anything to even slightly increase the chances of nobama winning?
Yes, Romney's not perfect. But he's a damn sight better than nobama.
We need to be concentrating our efforts on strengthening our majority in the House and securing a majority in the Senate. Then we'll have at least some control over the White House no matter who sits there, hopefully Romney.
I will not be voting 3rd party either there is not one with the old Republican platform. I will vote for conservative republicans down ticket but for the first time since Regan I will not vote for president...not because I do not want to defeat Obama but because the party has given me nobody in that slot to vote for.
They made that choice knowing full well they were crossing a line with a good portion of their base knowing full well what the consequences could be and I made that choice because there is a line I will not lower myself to cross. The party left me behind I did not leave the party....sound familiar?
Instead of bitching you might want to read this article in Breitbart from August 2 by John Nolte
Palin in her own words speaking about the convention and her role if any from the John Nolte interview......... The part your quote cites begins about the 3:45 minute mark. Palin and other Tea Party members will support the nominee regardless of what you hear around here.

One, he's not "bitching" and two, the article changes nothing except my opinion of the flexuousness of Sarah's stabbed-many-times-by-Romney-Judases backbone.
The article's only intelligence is that Sarah says she's willing to be a trouper, just like she was for McPain. She was stiffed from the speaker list -- THAT is the real deal.
Because Romney can't have a woman in that hall who's more man than he is. Period.
You will have it on your conscience
Balzac!
I once was persuaded to vote GOP solely for the purpose of conservative Supreme Court appointment. However after Roberts invented a new tax on inactivity that argument no longer works. I can not think of a single valid reason to vote GOPe any longer and will now NEVER EVER AGAIN vote GOPe.
I estimate about half the “I Heart Sarah” are subversives. I like a lot myslef, but the vitriol over every real or percieved slight towards her is way over the top.
Before reading the thread I predicted there would be a post about her within the first 3. Sure enough, it only took 2. And don’t defend Mitt or you might be banned from posting.
