I doubt there is anyone, Romney supporter or opponent, who really believes a release of 10, or for that matter, 50 years of tax returns would satisfy Harry Reid or any of the anti Romney machine. When you deal with sleaze merchants, you don’t try to pacify them anymore than you do hostage takers or terrorist. They don’t want answers, they want an issue.

Correct! Rasmussen did a poll in late July regarding the tax return issue. It showed only 35% found it even somewhat important and a solid majority of Republicans and independents said it was not important at all.
