When the courts systematically fail to to be just, the application of justice devolves first to the police and then to vigilantes. . . .

In this particular case the courts will never see anything about it. The cops get away with it and the little girl or shall we say, society, will never have their day in court. Her lawyer will probably tell her to keep quiet and tell her she is lucky she didn’t get hurt, to just sht up and go away.

I recently got stopped for driving around a cone that was blocking my driveway. Somebody thought it would be a good idea to use my drive way for the finish line for some community race. Nobody told me, nobody asked me. When a local deputy tried to stop me from pulling into my drive way I ignored him and told him I live here, that he could shoot me if he wanted but I was pulling into my drive.

It was a stupid decision on my part. The cop decided to show me he was boss and while he didn’t shoot me it might have been better if he did. He instead arrested me.

I have prescription meds that I keep on me all the time in a little pill box. How did I know that the state had passed a law that all medicines, even over the counter meds must be kept in their original containers at all times. I ended up spending the night in jail for possession of illegal drugs. Never mind that I have the prescription, never mind that I was on my driveway. Never mind that I did not invite the cops or racers onto my property. This was just two weeks ago. This is insane.

I don’t trust the court system. I have a lawyer, I will likely have to pay something in the way of fines for carrying my perfectly legal drugs in an unauthorized container. Our society is broken.

When society get broken enough that enough people get abused they will stop putting up with it and they will organize and take the law into their own hands. Bad things will happen to people who now administer the law in the eyes of the vigilaities, unfairly. It will not be very pretty for some people.

If I am around when it happens, perhaps I will know that it is not good but, like the little 15 year old girl that was abused, and that is what she was, perhaps I might have a hard time wiping the smile off my face.
