And yes, North Korea is there. And the Olympics are stained because of their presence. Just as it’s a stain to have a Palestinian team, or a team from Saudi Arabia.

You apparantely don't know the history of the Olympics..hostile countries getting together under favorable conditions. I think it is good those countries are there...once you start delegating which countries can and cannot participate is going down a slippery slope.

Under your rules the Olympic committee could have said the US could not be allowed to participate for being involved in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Don't blame the athletes for what their country does.

Finally, having these countries compete breaks down barriers. Saudi allowed women to compete for the first time ever..that is a good thing. Maybe this will help loosen things up for women back home.

I still don’t want some nazi or some moslem douchebag showing up. Thats just me. Mix good and evil, and you mess up the good. Evil never looks at good and says, “hey, maybe i should be more like them.”

And if we do follow that like that it doesn’t matter about their racist BS opinions, then at least, it seems like the Olympic committee should not honor such beliefs. IE, when the palestinians claimed they could not share the gymn with Israelis, they should have been told tough, and given the option. Share or leave.

As for saying the USA might be denied for our wars post 9/11. If they did that, and they might, then it tells you they are no better than the UN and no more deserving of our anyway.

And i JUST bet, they get a LOT of money from us. Like the UN where we pay well over a 4th of the freight.

And yes, i do know that officially we don’t fund the Olympics in other countries. But in truth, we do. There are tons of small ways we help them. We sent them hundreds of FBI, CIA, Homeland security, etc. All on our dime.

By your and the Olympic committee logic, invite the local crack dealers, murderers, and child molesting homos to a backyard BBQ with your nice friends. It might “help to break down barrers”.

Oh come on!

They are supposed to be amateur athletes, but in many cases they get top notch training and accommodations directly from their host totalitarian governments, strictly for propaganda purposes
