Right - you put the company you work for in a bad light you deserve to get fired. The moron should have thought first of what he was going to do before he opened his mouth. Words do have consequences and when it reflects badly on the company you work for, well then .... as I said before. If he had a beef (no pun) with Chick-Fil-A he should have taken it to corporate rather than berating an employee. He was a total jerk and got what he deserved.

I remember Pepsi truck drivers getting fired for drinking Coke on the job, and Coca-Cola drivers getting the axe for drinking Pepsi while clocked in. This was back in the 80’s and 90’s, haven't heard of it in the last 10 years though.
