Hey now... The satchel as a man's way to carry stuff around easily pre-dates modern gay culture by millennia. Men carried them long before women did. :-)
Though... I have a theory about this: as long as it doesn't contain either your keys or your wallet it's not a purse. So if you carry your keys and wallet in your pants... The satchel is still a satchel. Once the wallet and keys move in... It's a purse. :-)
