UPPER DARBY, Pa. - July 30, 2012 (WPVI) -- Police have arrested one person and are looking for another after a man in a wheelchair was beaten and robbed inside his home in Upper Darby.

The attack was caught on video, which was released at a news conference on Monday.

"It's cruel and inhumane. If they get caught and convicted they should throw them away forever," said Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood. "They're bad guys."

Upper Darby police say it all began around 5:30 a.m. Thursday when the victim, a 37-year-old man suffering from muscular dystrophy, received a telephone call.

That caller turned out to be a cousin who claimed he'd been in an accident and wanted to borrow some oxycodone pills, police said.

I may have had someone who wanted to borrow a tool or some jumper cables -- but I can't say I've ever had anyone ask to borrow some oxycodone pills.

The victim agreed to his cousin’s request, police said,

You gotta be kidding ... borrow me some oxycodone pills cous. I’m sorry but it sounds like the cousin is a junkie and sent over friends because he owed them. It may be possible, but I’ve never heard of oxycodone being used to treat his ailment.

Good thing he was unarmed. Someone might have gotten hurt.

Liberals sheep can rest easy that “it wasn’t me”.

The illegal drug industry is turning human beings into murderous savages. While the Left focuses on gun control, they completely ignore the role of illegal drugs as a catalyst for violence and lawlessness. And the worse part of it is the call for the legalization of all drugs. That would make matter worse and, for me, is a subject for another night.

Apparently in Philadelphia, they treat everything with oxycodone. They call it hillbilly heroine but it found its’ true home in Philly

The illegal drug industry is turning human beings into murderous savages.

In a way you're right. Prohibition creates a large underground market, staffed by some of the worst cut-throats around. The thugs in the video were after loot. They were looking to make a nice little profit selling that man's pills on the street.

While the Left focuses on gun control, they completely ignore the role of illegal drugs as a catalyst for violence and lawlessness.

Thus showing they're just as big whores as prohibitionists.

And the worse part of it is the call for the legalization of all drugs.

Per the Tenth Amendment, states rather than Congress should regulate intrastate drug policies. Right?

That would make matter worse and, for me, is a subject for another night.

It would certainly make matters worse for those in the illegal drug industry -- not to mention those who make a living from federal drug policies.

Bravo.

The Drug Warriors see all the carnage and refuse to acknowledge their complicity.
