To: Cincinatus' Wife

I think this story is out of line. The implication is that this woman is a poor physician, and if she had been a better one, Holmes wouldn’t have done what he did. That’s crap, and everyone knows it.

I’m not defending her transgressions, but it’s a shame she must answer once again for her crimes because of this.

As a physician and psychiatrist, she must have been aware of her obligations under the Tarasoff decision. The question will be whether Holmes made explicit threats that she was aware of and ignored. If no such threats were made, their communications are clearly covered by HIPAA, and she would be barred from disclosing any information to outside individuals without his written permission, under penalty of substantial fines and sanctions.

LOL @ her crimes again.

She's not a foot therapist. She deals with brains. That is a large responsibility. Perhaps she became a bit too full of herself with all those grants and such and became neglectful to minor warning signs in her patients.

Take a pill, it'll fix everything.
