Will political reform occur in the United States only after a catastrophe?

27.07.2012 By Lawrence Sellin

John Brown was an American revolutionary abolitionist, who in the 1850s advocated and practiced armed insurrection as a means to abolish slavery in the United States.

He was tried for treason, the murder of five pro-slavery Southerners, and inciting a slave insurrection, found guilty on all counts, and was hanged on December 2, 1859.

On the day he died Brown wrote: "I, John Brown, am now quite certain that the crimes of this guilty land will never be purged away but with blood. I had, as I now think, vainly flattered myself that without very much bloodshed it might be done."

Less than two years later the U.S. Civil War began, the American casualties from which exceeded those of World War I, World War II, Korea and Vietnam combined.

The United States is now facing its greatest Constitutional crisis since the Civil War. As Abraham Lincoln asked, will a nation conceived in liberty and a government of the people, by the people and for the people perish?

The 2012 election is the most important in U.S. history, but not for the reasons either the Republican or Democrat Parties would have you believe because there is little difference between them.

They seek to win elections, not to uphold the Constitution, not to show respect for the rule of law and not to serve the American people, but to obtain power and to use that power to accrue career and financials benefits for themselves and their major supporters.

Mitt Romney does not offer a significant change from the political status quo. So far, the most accurate slogan for his campaign seems to be: "I'm not the other guy."

The real issue of the 2012 is whether or not the American people will endorse permanent political corruption in Washington, D.C. by voting for the status quo presently represented by the Republican and Democrat Parties.

The United States is heading for a financial meltdown. Projected government spending rates over the next twenty-five years will drive federal debt to unsustainable levels from 50% of Gross Domestic Product in 2010 to 101% and 195% of GDP for 2021 and 2036, respectively. By 2036 every American citizen will own $135,547 in U.S. Government debt compared to $36,267 today.

Article I of the U.S. Constitution requires Congress to pass a federal budget. Despite the imminent threat to the financial stability of the United States and the clear priority the Constitution gives to maintaining discipline in federal spending, the last time The Democrat-controlled Senate enacted a budget was April 29, 2009.

Republicans continue to be derelict in their duty and violate their oaths of office to support and defend the Constitution by refusing to vet Barack Obama's Presidential eligibility and personal history. They are also recommending Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Republican Governor of Louisiana Bobby Jindal for Vice President, both of whom do not meet the Constitutional requirements for that office.

Republican congressional leaders, particularly Senator John McCain and House Speaker John Boehner, endanger national security by refusing to probe Muslim Brotherhood infiltration of the Obama Administration and condemning those who legitimately request such an investigation.

On July 17, 2012, Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio provided convincing evidence that Barack Obama's birth certificate, as presented by the White House on April 27, 2011, is a forgery.

In the presence of evidence that there is a criminal in the White House, what actions do Republicans and Democrats take? None.

In general, our elected officials are not concerned about the financial stability of the country, its national security or upholding the rule of law.

In 2012, American voters are being offered nothing more than a continuation of a status quo incompatible with the survival of the country.

Barack Obama is being protected by a corrupt political establishment. Exposing Obama before the election will thwart the installation of permanent and pervasive corruption in the U.S. Government and pave the way for political reform.

Without that, change will eventually come, but more likely in the form of national collapse and fragmentation.

There is so much corruption in our government. Most are more interested in "More Power" , instead of being interested in saving Our Country, abiding by the laws & preserving the Constitution of the United states of America.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio provided information that Obama's documents are "Fraudulent" & the members of Congress ignore this information!!

We are living the catastrophe now. With the choices we have for the top of the ticket, we have at least four more years of catastrophe. I do not see any reform yet.

The collapse is unavoidable, regardless of the next election outcome. The election will determine if it happens within 2 years or 6 years, give or take...

Now, the importance of the election is the question “who do you want to have in power to pick up the pieces after the collapse?”

Do we prepare for revolution or split for greener pastures?

I’m thinking there will be a bunch of boutique medical clinics starting up in the Caribbean for doctors who want to avoid Obamacare. Those will provide some desirable jobs.

I plan on being self sufficient enough, and having enough community set up, that I won’t be standing in the gov’t soup line and totally at their tender mercies,

so I can be part of the rebuild, and not simply complying in order to keep my kids from starving.

“Going Galt” and the “Cloward and Piven” stategy interestingly have the same results, total collapse of the system.
Both sides working toward the same end should hasten the collapse.
Who will be on top indeed?

Nothing short of insurrection and a very nasty civil war offers a chance for the establishment of the Second American Republic. The First American Republic died some time ago.

I think it can still be achieved politically via the ballot box. Otherwise what is to stop us from starting the ball rolling now?

On the other hand, the Globalists who groomed 0bama and paved the way for his ascension into the White Hut are counting on the collapse and resulting civil war to create a Marxist dictatorship out of the ashes.

I experienced my own doctor medical collapse this past Monday. I got a letter from my doctor saying he had joined a group of doctors and I would have to join this group in order to keep him as my doctor.

This is known as a “concierge group”. In order to keep him as my doctor, I have to pay $1,650 a year just to walk in their front door. I wasn’t going to do that, so, on Monday, I suddenly had no doctor.

I contacted a retired doctor I knew, and he gave me the name of a doctor he would go to (and probably does).

I went to this new doctor on Thursday. It’s the pits to have to start with a new doctor. Anyway, I was shocked to have to find a new doctor. No one’s medical care is safe today. Doctors are retiring and moving and joining concierge groups - doing what they can to provide for their own future due to Hussein’s healthcare.

What is the status of your doctor? Are you sure he’s not about to retire/move/go to concierge group? It might be good to ask your doctor these questions.

The “REAL” PRAVDA
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pravda

On August 22, 1991, a decree by Russian President Boris Yeltsin shut down the Communist Party and seized all of its property, including Pravda. Its team of journalists fought for their newspaper and freedom of speech. They registered a new paper with the same title just weeks after.

A few months later, then-editor Gennady Seleznyov (now a member of the Duma) sold Pravda to a family of Greek entrepreneurs, the Yannikoses. The next editor-in-chief, Aleksandr Ilyin, handed Pravda’s trademark the Order of Lenin medals and the new registration certificate over to the new owners.

By that time, a serious split occurred in the editorial office. Over 90% of the journalists who had been working for Pravda until 1991 quit their jobs. They established their own version of the newspaper, which was later shut down under government pressure. These same journalists, led by former Pravda editors Vadim Gorshenin and Viktor Linnik in January 1999, launched Pravda Online, the first web-based newspaper in the Russian language; English, Italian and Portuguese versions are also available.

In 1996, two Greek investors launched Pravda Pyat, a weekly tabloid aimed at younger readers.[16] The new Pravda newspaper and Pravda Online are not related in any way. The paper Pravda tends to analyze events from a leftist point of view, while the web-based tabloid-style newspaper often takes a nationalist and sensationalist approach.

In 1997, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communist_Party_of_the_Russian_Federation recovered the newspaper, and it became an organ of the CPRF. This was verified by the special resolution of the 4th Congress of the CPRF.

I agree. It’s just a matter of time regardless of what does or does not happen at the ballot box.

...the Globalists who groomed 0bama and paved the way for his ascension into the White Hut are counting on the collapse and resulting civil war to create a Marxist dictatorship out of the ashes.

So they think. Their own ideology blinds them in ways that are favorable to those who wish to live a free men. The outcomes are by no means certain for either side.

I don’t see any peaceful way back to our constitutional republic.

The die was cast when the leftists took over the schools and turned them into a union dominated “education system”.

We'll have political reform after several years of extremely severe economic conditions. I suspect it will be a time when half of us can't feed and house ourselves.

But political reform won't be enough. Extreme leftist groups like the ACLU and environmental groups need to be put down hard. Educational, judicial and media reforms will have to happen too. And for us to truly reemerge we will have to be in GOD’s favor.
