"The communists have gotten themselves entrenched and have been working with tremendous dedication for their Marxist ideology. What we are about to face is truly a socialist abyss" - says Marielena Stuart is a candidate for the U.S. Senate in the state of Florida.
Marielena Stuart is a candidate for the U.S. Senate in the state of Florida. She has an interesting message about the economy and what ails it. I had an opportunity to speak with Marielena at length about todays economic crisis. When [people] speak about the economy and jobs, Stuart told me,
they dont understand that what is killing our economy is the fact our manufacturing base has been decimated by sustainable development rules and regulations imposed through agencies like the EPA. And yet these regulations and sustainable development have never been approved by the United States Congress. They have been imposed on Americans through Executive Orders. If you visit the White House website, you will find all Executive Orders of the current administration. Orders on regulatory matters usually refer to the environment as a key rationale for regulation. As many businessmen have discovered to their dismay, property rights are now trumped by environmental policy. According to Stuart,
The environmental movement has now become a monster. How did this happen? Stuart makes an interesting argument:
Essentially, when the Soviet Union fell communism did not disappear. It simply went underground, and it resurfaced as the environmental movement. It gained strength and filled its coffers....

This is a variant on what I said from the first minute after the “fall” of the USSR - I said that the USSR was like stage one of syphilis, where there are observable symptoms, and that the “fall” was like the second stage of syphilis, in which the disease goes underground, and the symptoms disappear. We will wake up one day to find ourselves in the third stage, of delirium and degenerative madness.

I totally agree with her assessment. We do have people in our government who will and are betraying us on a daily basis.
Environmentalists have a pathological fear and hatred of economic progress. They are the enemy not only of industrial civilization, individualism, and capitalism, but also of technology, science, human reason, and human life. To an important extent the hatred of man and distrust of reason displayed by the environmental movement are psychological projection of many contemporary intellectuals' self-hatred and distrust of their own minds which have been made much more acute as the result of the visible worldwide collapse of socialism and the fact that they,as the advocates and apologists of socialism, have been responsible for the destruction it has wrought.
As the parties responsible for socialism-for a system which has brought poverty and tyranny to every country upon which it was imposed, from Soviet Russia and the East European nations to Indochina, Ethiopia, Angola, and Cuba-they have certainly been a plague upon the world. And if socialism had in fact represented reason and science, as most intellectuals cannot help but continue to believe, there would be grounds to distrust reason and science. For then, reason and science would have been responsible for scores of millions of murders.
